Few Days ago, CANCERDEFEATED’S 41st Convention opened in
Mexico, one of the world’s fastest growing havens of Alternative Medicine. In
this country, Alternative Medicine thrives because, the government and the
medical association give doctors a free hand to decide what medicines to give
their patients. CancerDefeated is a non-profit organisation devoted to showing
Doubting Thomas doctors and lay people alike that cancer can be cured. Its
conventions go beyond that to providing information about food and food
supplements which help to prevent cancer, foods which support the body in its
bid to rid itself of cancer, techniques or concepts, such as anti-angiogenesis,
which doctors may employ in the treatment of cancer.
Suboptimal Liver
As far back as the 1920s, it was suggested in a spiritual
work which mediates and reveals knowledge on earth today, leaving no question
unanswered, that cancer cannot occur in any part of the human body if the liver
is healthy and functioning optionally. It took about 50 years for medical
science to appreciate this in autopsies of cancer deaths which found the liver
compromised. Now, we know the liver is the chief detoxifying organ of the body.
If it slows down, poisons accumulate and damage the weakest organs of the body
which cannot protect themselves against the resultant toxicity. The liver is
especially crucial in breast cancer prevention and management for not only this
purpose. Additionally, it is important for breaking down excess estrogens into
their component parts and for supporting their export into the intestine with
the aid of bile salts for elimination through the stool. Where the liver
doesn’t do this, the excess estrogen levels rise. Increased estrogen levels may
offset the estrogen-progesterone ratio. Estrogen torments or irritates breast
tissue which, in reaction, may become cancerous. Sometimes, the liver may
simply be overwhelmed by an overproduction of estrogen, especially the harsh
variants (estradiol and estrione), by the ovaries and fat cells in the body.
The ovaries may be over stimulated by the pituitary gland in the brain which
may have its own problems. Toxins may be troubling this gland. Excess salt in
the diet also disturbs it. Sometimes, estrogen influx comes from milk, egg and
other dairy products, or from plastic containers of foods. Farms add estrogen
to the feed of chicken and cows to make chickens lay eggs almost every day of
their adult lives which is unnatural, and to make the cows, similarly, to make
milk. Today in Nigeria, women have abandoned the leaf for food wrapping and
opted for cellophane. Cellophane and other soft plastics emit zenoestrogens
into food. Since salt fat cell also produce estrogens, it is adorable that
women who wish to prevent breast cancer or those who are fighting it reduce or
manage their weight. Estrogen levels may be normalised by taking herbs such as
VITEX, which normalises pituitary and ovarian functions. DONGQUAI does it too.
Zinc promotes the production of progesterone and this helps to bridge a wide
estrogen-progesterone ratio. A proprietary product I often suggest is MAHARANI.
It is a blend of many female herbs. We cannot ignore YARROW, one of the queens
of female herbs. By reducing weight, high estrogen levels may be crashed.
A suboptional liver, even in breast cancer encounter, can be
strengthened with herbs and other Alternative Medicure protocols to work
better. These herbs are called hepatics. Some physicians, such as those at the
Gerson Clinic, use organic coffee (now on sale in Nigeria) for enemas which
open up the liver and drains poisons accumulated in it. The beverage coffee
cannot be used for this purpose. Nor can the organic enema coffee be taken as a
beverage. Organic Sulphur, too, plays a critical role in liver detoxification.
Onion and garlic contain tiny bits of organic sulphar. Not many women hate
garlic.A herb like Milk Thistle helps the regeneration of demaged liver cells.
While the Rain Tree company operated, there were Amazon Liver Support and
Carquela as proprietary products. MariaTreben Swedish bitters is good for the liver
and the kidney. Bitter kola does it, too.
A liver cleansing may be mild or dramatic. Some herbs
stimulate the liver’s function. Others calm and nourish it. Yet others protect
the liver. Apple Cider Vinegar may be mildly cleansing. Collagogues promote the
manufacture and release of bile from the liver. About one liter of bile salt is
made every day and stored in the gall blader until it is needed to digest fats.
Some other liver herbs I’d like to mention are Dandelion,
Oregano, Bear Berry, Burdock root, Calamus root, Turmeric (present in curry),
Artichoke and Bitter Leaf. A good proprietary product to remember in liver
cleansing is Liver Balance. Kidney cleansing should go along with kidney
cleansing. A congested kidney may cause problems for the liver.
Immune Boosting
Immunity crashes in an acidic environment which is oxygen
deprived, and encourages proliferation of unfriendly microforms, the population
of which may overwhelm a disoriented, starving and weakened immune
organisation. Alkalisation helps to make the work environment more hospitable
for immune function. In the London case study, meat (beef) fish and egg were
forbidden in the diet. Excess animal protein in the system has been
scientifically proven to be a cancer promoter and a source of allergy of all
sorts. Beef in particular has been linked to colon cancer. As cancer patients
lose a great deal of weight, it may sound ironical, somewhat, that they are
being deprived proteins to maintain body structure, repair of cellular damage
and for the production of more immune cells in the state of emergency that the
fight against cancer is. In this condition, all the protein resources of the
body are being mobilised for immune war against cancer.
No, they are not being deprived of vital war resources. I always
suggest, in place of animal protein, proteins from plant sources which are more
readily absorbed and which leave no such protein end product sludges which may
cause more problems or slow the war against cancer. In this regard, some great
options are (1) spirulina (2) chlorella (3) whey protein and (4) proprietary
blends of all sorts which may include (a) Forever Aloe Lite (b) Bragg’s Liquid
Aminos acid (c) free form amino acids, to mention a few of them on the Nigerian
market today. These protein sources do not need as much energy to digest them
as is committed to the metabolism of flesh proteins and the evacuation of their
poisonous waste products.
A mixture of alkalising juices can be taken to improve the
pH balance. Lime and lemon may taste acidic; they end up in an alkaline ash.
Lime and lemon juice may be added to Beet root juice and taken periodically
throughout the day. As Dr. Marx Gerson has taught the world (please check his
thoughts in the internet), vegetable juices can be added to the regimen in the
therapy to boost immunity. Large amounts of salads should be eaten, but without
salad dressing. Apple cider vinegar and olive oil dressing can be used instead.
About 70 per cent of the meal in one day should be raw as the World Health
Organisation (WHO) has been advocating for the prevention of degenerative
diseases. Oxygenation of the blood is important as well. I often advocate
wheatgrass and paud Arco drinks. They kill microforms, stimulate immunity,
alkalise and break tumours.
Immune Herbs and Supplement
After detoxification and diet change to balance the pH, and
perhaps after inclusion of zinc in the diet to reactivate the thymnus gland,
another major consideration should be the repopulation of friendly bacteria in
the colon. This calls for inclusion of probiotic and prebioticin in the diet. I
would have liked to suggest Yoghurt for the abundance of friendly bacteria or
probiotic it offers, but for the fact that Nigerian Yoghurt brands do not
appear to have enough of these immune enhancing factors, and, besides, are
overladen with sugar. I am told a brand called FARM FRESH YOGHURT has an
unsweetened brand which rates highest on the yoghurt chart. The world knew
about the health benefits of yoghurt when the longevity of Bulgarians was
studied by scientists. It was found that they took yoghurt with almost every
meal. It may appear contradictory that in one breath, poultry foods are frowned
upon but are welcome in another, yoghurt being a milk product. But the milk of
yoghurt is a different kind of milk. It has been predigested by the probiotic
found readily in it. One of the friendly bacteria species found in Bulgarian
yoghurt was named after the country….. acidophilusBulgaricus. It is present in
many proprietary probiotic products on the market today. Cancer loves and
thrives on sugar. I try to get around insufficiency of probiotic in Nigerian
brand Yoghurt by emptying the contents of two capsules of probiotic (each five
billion cells) into a bottle of yoghurt the day before I took it. It features prominently
in the two cases mentioned above.
There are two more points I would like to quickly make about
Vitamin C… One of these is that it has proven a helpful factor in anti-aging
life extension research files, among other animals given larger doses of Vitamin
C and other antioxidants were found to live many times longer than their
species normally lived. We must by now be familiar with the laboratory
experiment in which a chicken heart lived about five times longer than it would
have in a free range chicken.The researchers threw it out in the end… not
because it died or was dying, but because they had proven their point that
antioxidants extend life expectancy.
Herbs play a significant role in kick-starting sluggish

root, Echinacea, Golden seal root, Grape Seed Extract, Pycnogenol, Olive leaf,
Sterols and Sterolins, Vitamin C, Zinc, Graviola etc.
